Estate Liquidation
The decision to dispose of one's personal property or estate can be necessitated by several circumstances such as receiving an inheritance, retirement, relocation, divorce, or death. We offer counsel in making the difficult decisions related to estate disposition, e.g. what to keep, what to throw away or donate, what to sell, what is valuable and what is not. We will act as your agent to coordinate the "cleaning out" of estates and liquidating property. This is particularly helpful in the case of an estate where the heir or personal representative will not or is not capable of performing the liquidation. The liquidation of property can be accomplished in several ways. Most frequently employed are on-site estate sales. Silver Lining, Inc. estate liquidation service works with seniors and their families, estate executors, and trustees to evaluate, sell, and clear out the contents of the family home. We evaluate, market, and conduct estate liquidations beginning with the initial tagging of household contents to the final sale. We research the contents, pricing items to sell at fair market value. It is not necessary to have homes filled with antiques; however, there must be sufficient items to justify an estate sale. In addition to collectibles, we liquidate general household items, lawn equipment, firearms, tools and automobiles. Generally, if the sale is contracted with Silver Lining, Inc., the sale will occur within a few weeks. Adequate time is needed for preparation, research, and advertising. Contracts are based upon the contents of the home. Please remove items you wish to keep prior to the initial assessment. Call us for a free consultation. We look forward to assisting you with all of your estate needs. |
